Following this, she entered the State University of New York at Albany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She graduated in 2001 with a bachelor&#8217;s degree in journalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2002, Jessica received a master&#8217;s degree in Women&#8217;s and Gender Studies in politics from Rutgers University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Important_organizations\"><\/span>Important organizations<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It should be pointed out that Jessica was an employee of the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund and the Women&#8217;s Environment &amp; Development Organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Authors_blog\"><\/span>Author&#8217;s blog<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Special attention in Jessica&#8217;s biography should be paid to the fact that in 2004 she founded the Feministing blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many then said that this resource helped to bring the feminist movement online. This, in turn, led to the emergence of discussion groups and the development of feminism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, for Jessica herself, the creation of the blog had a negative connotation to some extent. After all, she literally received insults and numerous threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, some accused Jessica of promoting feminism among young people through her resource. This allegedly led to the application of a feminist prism by young people to evaluate a particular current event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jessica herself kept the blog until February 2011, after which she left it. In this work, the author touches upon the topic of the benefits of feminism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following year, 2008, was remembered for the publication of Jessica&#8217;s book He&#8217;s a Stud, She&#8217;s a Slut and 49 Other Double Standards Every Woman Should Know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2009, Jessica published the book The Purity Myth: How America&#8217;s Obsession with Virginity Is Hurting Young Women. The author describes how female sexuality is used to weaken women&#8217;s rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2012 marked the release of the book Why Have Kids?
